she looked really great and wanted to get a drink with me but the reason I left her was because she could not put down the bottle. We always ended up in bed and the next morning she was a total mess. So I put her off now, should I take another chance with her?

If she feels the same way and wants to be with you. Tell her she needs to get help, if she wants to be with you. Let her know you are there for her the entire way. She will need support, but don't talk down to her like she is a child, that will only destroy her. Treat her like she is the most special person you've ever met and do things with her that have nothing to do with drinking.

If thats the reason you broke up then no. But if ur really into her, then maybe try to talk to her outside of a drinking environment. Do things with her that dont include drinking, and if it comes up then talk to her about why you left before, and that you wanna be with her but only if she stops or slows down on the booze. Maybe get her to go to some classes, and support her thru the whole thing. Try to show her that life can be great without booze! goodluck

Chances are the drinkin thing will still be there now if it was there then...its a tuff call...specially if you both go to the same bar...sounds like she still has a piece of your heart...Pros & cons hard to figure out, but necessary in a relationship. Sounds like youre intellegient is showing in askin us the question, means you got your doubts bout it workin out again..with all that said...Id say, dont bother...you got a good head on your shoulders as a dude. go find a gal that deserves you and will give you the respect and love you want...which doesnt include cleaning up her puke the next day!! Nope. It could ruin your life again. She probally never got over you and still wants to get you into bed again. She dosen't like you for yourself and if she did how would you know if she is drinking all the time and dosent't know what she is doing. If you are going to get back with this girl. Say no and put your foot down.

ahh you broke up with her for a reason why get back together and break her heart all over again thats cruel i didnt know that we leave people we care about if they have a problem how about helping her threw it instead of being selfish

Only take her back if she has gotton help and or is getting help make a deal with her. If she really loves u and u love her it will all play out.

If you still feel something, and you don't take the chance now.....one day you will regret it!!!!!! This time you may reach a final decision ( because I am guessing you haven't because you are considering going out with her)

I wouldn't say that going out for a drink would be such a good idea, but meet up for coffee or something non-intoxicating. Spend some time talking and see if she's gotten help for her alcoholism.
