Yep, cats get colds and flus from other cats, just the same that humans do. Upper Respiratory Tract infections are common in cats.
If your cat is very old or very young or has some respiratory or immune problems, you'll probably need to get them to the vet, since a cold can turn into pneumonia or something more serious. They might need to be put on a course of antibiotics, just to ensure that they don't get sick with anything else at the same time.
Generally, the cold will pass within a week, especially if the cat is otherwise healthy and strong.

Yes. They get what is called an upper respiratory infection. It's actually very common, mine has had it three times. Doesn't hurt them unless it goes untreated. They will cough and sneeze and have a runny nose. The vet will give you about a week's worth of Amoxycillan (an antibiotic) to give them and it will clear right up.

Yes. But I'm pretty sure it's not contagious to humans. I would take your cat into a vet to get him/her checked out if it lasts longer than a few days.
