They getting paid. But, sometimes a person may do those extras that just any other person would not, I usually have some cokes and beer cold and they welcome to either. I not say which they may take.

I think you should. The delivery charge is just for the trucking/gas/insurance,etc. The people actually carrying the furniture are lifting heavy stuff, often up more than one flight and setting it up in your home. If they are polite and professional, and don't make a mess, help in removing the packaging from your home, etc. You should tip them a bit. If they are rude, unprofessional etc, I say no tip and you should report them to customer service.

That's my2cents

Yes, they get minimum wage, or less, much like waiting personel, they can often have tips figured to be part of their wages, so when they don't get them, their really hurting for cash... besides which, it's the holidays, do something for a stranger, just because. Happy Holidays!

Normally I would'nt. As you said your "already" paying for delivery and set-up through the staore. But sometimes those guys help you out with extra things that are NOT included. I supose its a case by case basis. Use your onw judgement!

You do not have to but it is just a matter of courtesy, really.

At a restaurant, you also pay for the food and the cost of the service is attached to that cost, yet you leave a tip.

It is all up to you.

Why not if you can afford it? Giving a little tip may make your next trip to the shop more 'welcoming' by the workers if they recognise you.

I've found that if you live in a large city, they expect it. If your in a more rural area, they are surprised when you do.

Etiquette says you are being rude if you don't.
