Show him respect even though he is only 8. I have a 9 yr old daughter and I have found that she learns most by example. If your brother feels that you are repsecting him...I think he will change some of his behaviour towards you. This will not be instantaneous so have patience. You are the older one so it is up to you to set the example. One day you will look back on this and laugh!! I promise.

sit down with him and make him be serious and have a long talk with him, but do it calmly so he doesnt cry (he is 8) maybe then he will understand. but on the other hand YOU have to respect that your lil' brother is only 8. he IS going 2 be annoying and up ur butt all the time. so try being considerate. but if and when you do have a talk with him more than likely he will be really understanding. best of luck to you and your bro

Everybody's little brother is a pain in the ***. They thrive on getting on your last nerve. You have to beat him at his own game without taking it so personal and letting it get ugly. That's how he expresses his love for you and gets your attention. I'll bet if somebody disrespected you or tried to hurt you, he'd try to kick their *** even though he's only 8. It's a phase, when he's older, he'll let you know you're like a 2nd mother that he appreciates in his life.

An 8 year old being rude is really something only his parents can correct. Talk to them about it, but if they allow him to do it, all you can do is ignore him as much as possible and hang in there, you're almost 18.

If he's rude to you he must be rude to your mom who must tolerate it.A parent is the one who can stop that behavior and teach each child to respect each other especially the oldest child.I never allowed my daughters to talk back to their older sister because she was the one who watched them while I worked and they knew what ever she said went until I got there to handle the drama myself.

he's 8 and he's a boy what do you expect. Give him time and try to teach him now not to be rude.

Take it up with your parents, if that doesn't work, take him into a dark corner and beat the snot out of him. it may not solve your problems, but it'll make you feel better. >8)

I think he is ineed of an attitude adjustment. Slap him so hard that he pisses on himself, and his attitude should be adjusted, and if not I would recommend some wall to wall counseling. Good luck.

He's your little brother. What do you honestly expect. He doesn't care how old you are.
