I want to provide a written schedule for my guests (it'll go in the out-of-town baskets). Where can I find a sample one online?

As far as an itinerary goes, I've looked and also can't find a great sample. Here's what I would put together in a word document:

The (last name) and (last name) Wedding Itinerary

Day Of Rehearsal
~here I would list by time the places they need to be in order from earliest to latest. I would also include a contact person to call for more information (not you) and directions/addresses.

Day Of Wedding
~same as above. List out when and where they need to be. For the day of, you may also consider some alternative non-wedding things for them to do -- like a local bizarre, movie theater, or tourist attraction.

Be specific in your writing and always give contact information. Provide examples of attire, if there is a strict dress code for an event. You can handle this just fine yourself!

Remember, it's your marriage ceremony and now not your sister's marriage ceremony. Many folks make specific allowances for touring to this variety of specific ooccasion Your sister would have the kids omit an afternoon or perhaps a part of day of college for this. I am certain the college district will fully grasp. If it's in June of 2009, such a lot college's are completed with their guide through that point so, the kids fairly would possibly not omit whatever. To greater get ready your sister's kid's college, you r sister can pass to the college previous to the date and tell the trainer(s) of the occasion and the academics can assign any paintings due that day. Monday is mainly an guide day and in most cases the kids could make up what's announced on Monday on Tuesday. If you and your fiance have your center set on one place and that's the one time to get it, I say do it and your sister can be there since that is fundamental to her and also you. Have your sister determine the college calender for subsequent 12 months and notice how near the marriage ceremony date is to the top of college to reassure herself that's it might be k for the kids tto omit an afternoon of college subsequent June. Good Luck and joyful marriage ceremony making plans!

When my best friend got married, she did the very same thing. I don't remember it word for word, but it went something like :

"Welcome to John and Jane's Wedding Weekend! Please join us tonight at Cedars Steakhouse for a pre-wedding dinner. Casual dress. The ceremony will begin tomorrow at 6 PM at The Grand Pavillion, with the reception to follow immediatly after. Transportation will be available to and from the reception for those who don't wish to drive. Blah blah blah"

You get the point. She also included an additional direction card, and contact numbers in case anyone required assitance. It was all printed up on pretty stationary on her computer, then rolled like a scroll and tied w/ a ribbon, and placed in the out of town baskets. I think it's a really nice gesture to do this when people are traveling to unfamilar areas, and it sort of sets the tone that you want everyone to feel comfortable and included on your day.

That is a fantastic idea!! You don't need a sample, though, just be creative and come up with something on your own...have a time, location and event as an FYI. Get some nice paper, that goes with your theme and/or colors, and print them out at home.

Go lightly on this project. Many brides go way overboard.

If you give the guests a full-day, detailed itinerary to follow, they will feel insulted & feel that you're giving them commands or treating them like children who can't manage their own time while on a trip. And they won't take it seriously.

Just put the most important bullet points on there, along with locations and times. Let the rest of their time be their own.

When I was doing mine, I couldn't find a sample online. I borrowed one from a friend. But actually, they're pretty easy to do.
