Wa'alaikumussalam..
I suppose you could have a speed contest on wearing ihrom dress, quiz on certain prayers to read during the hajj, look for or make cartoon of hajj activities and make jigsaw puzzle out of them, show and tell on anything related to hajj, tell the bigger kids to interview people already at hajj and let them present their reportation on class and so on.. :) If I should have more ideas I;ll let you know Badra :)
Wassalam

You could make a little boardgame, like monopoly, with all the kids. Only it's the Hajj as you travel around the board! Oooh.

I think it would be fun :(

Also why did you make this question Muslims only?? Non-Muslims might have good ideas too!!!!!

wsalaam sister, well i did an activity in the mosque with young children, explaining the importacne of Hajj, bearing in mind the children were aged4-5.
how to make the Kabbah, and explain the signifcance for it

get small tissue boxes (the ones that are cubed)
glue black material around the tissue box
get some gold lace and put on the black material
cut a shape of the black stone and the door- and stick on the black materail.

hope that has helped

As Salamu 'alaikum,

How about building a Kaba out of blocks or dressing up like Hajjis and going around a pseudo-Kaba in class.... or running between two hills 7 times. Hope this helps.

masallam

4-17 doesn't sound like an age group conducive to learning.

You may want to start out by separating them into smaller age groups.

How about exposing them to all religions, and then when they become 18 tell them to choose whichever is close to their heart?

Just an idea.
