Hear me out, this isn't your standard insulting question. What if jesus (if such a person actually existed) was actually some loon on par with Jim Jones and David Koresh and over time he was elevated to the revered figure he is today? Would that change your perception? Just curious, thanks....

Yes, but we don't know for sure that jesus performed miracles. Maybe they were simple sleight of hand parlor tricks...

If, indeed, the man did exist and some of the references to him in the bible are even somewhat accurate, he was most certainly the victim of some mental disease that account for his illusions and delusions of grandeur. If this could be proven, the consequences would be huge.

I don't think he was crazy but I do think that as the bloodline descendant of King David he couldn't take over without the whole thing being a major suicide move. He needed the whole nation behind him and since he was a yawheh worshipper he also probably wanted to created a jewish kingdom united under the god yaweh. had he been just a revolutionary he would have been rounded up a lot quicker and he knew it.
interesting side note: in the original testament which all four were written in greek, jesus doesnt say to herod " it is you who say I am the king" he says he IS!!! THAT was the main reason he was crucified.

I can't think of one single other person that has had such a major impact on the world as Jesus Christ.
Not bad, for Someone who was "batshit crazy", huh?
What if Jesus truly is Who He says He is, and suppose He can do exactly what He promised He would do?
Would that change your perceptions of Him?
Now, that is a question I think everyone ought to seriously ask themselves.......

No I cant believe Jesus was batshit crazy whatever that is. I believe he was probably a real person but I'm not sure even he thought he was God. I think he was just a poor Jew who tried his damnedest to fulfill what he thought was prophecy. He ended up getting the Jewish leadership pissed off at him and the Romans killed him to calm the Jews. Just like they killed hundreds of other poor Jews by Crucifixion. Why didn't the Jews accept his fulfillment of prophecy? They could see it just as well as anyone if it was a real prophecy. But they didn't believe him and neither do I. I believe it is just fantasy. Both Jews and Gentiles, Christian and Muslim, Buddhist, Wicca, Pagan, Agnostic and all the other religions man has invented since he came down out of the trees and lost his tail. Just fantasy. xx

Last time I checked, those other guys never preformed miricals, so no. Jesus was not batshit crazy, he was the genuine artical. Let's see someone else heal the sick, raise the dead, walk on water and turn water into wine. You can't do that without divine help, and Jesus had that as the son of God.

It doesn't change my perception of you and your BSC ideas. Jesus loves you, so I try hard to do so also. Merry Christmas.
