When I tried to copy a movie ON DEMAND the picture was horrible. What did I do wrong?

There was probably copy protection imbedded in the ondemand movie. Just like recording a DVD. You could watch it live but not record.

Gitix is right. Plus you may want to try using component cables just in case there was no protection. Component cables provide the best picture.
