Isaiah 11:12
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH.

New technology and infrastructure to promote the religion doesn't guarantee success. The modern day person isn't as gullible to fantasy stories. So, I'll say it'll be more difficult to create new religions in the modern world.

Well they'd have written about dinosaurs and stuff. They probably would have said that God created single-celled organisms and caused them to evolve. Basically they would have been able to create a much more enduring myth. But considering the incredible blind faith people have, and their ability to ignore the failings of their religions, it probably would be only a minor improvement.

that's a really scary thought, because if they knew what we knew now and made a religion it would be really hard to tell that it was not true. and it would look just about like what science looks like today, ironically. hmmm... .i wonder what they snuck in... Big bang?
