Which God did you deny.

The made up judgmental, punishing God, or the real unconditionally loving God.

If you think about it, it doesn't really matter. The first one isn't real and the real one never judges you for any reason so there is nothing to forgive.

How exactly did you 'deny' god? Did you renounce Him and His religions or simply say that something God did was wrong or didnt work? Or maybe another way, i dont know!

Personally, either way I think that as God is all-forgiving and all-powerful, whilst he could send you to Hell, I think that as you are standing up and admitting your mistakes (as Peter i think it was did when he denied knowing Jesus or something like that... dont hold me to it!), and that as you have admitted it then He will forgive you.
After all, you are not denying him totally, becoming an atheist or renouncing your religion, so he is not going to do a Matthew 12:32 on you;
'those of us who blasphemously deny that God is a Holy Spirit have committed the only unforgivable sin: “And whosoever speaketh against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.' and send you straight to Satan!

As you are brave enough to stand up and confess your 'error' as some would call it, God will proabably praise you for having the courage where others do not.

By the way sorry if that is a rather rubbish bible quote, its one I found in my book that I find relevant..but everybody's different! I also apologise if I seem to be waffling!

I am also a Christian, in response to your question.

Oh goodness! I am sure every single person has had a slight thought of "Oh what if" --but I know for me, I always am reminded IMMEDIATELY just how Real God is. I think the enemy wants you to feel guilty and doubt God every chance you get....that is why it is so crucial for us to be continually studying the word of God and seeking Him...it keeps us rooted in our faith and keeps us from being led astray. Now you deny God in your thoughts and continue doing this to the point you really do wonder if He is real or not? Because that is when I would start to be concerned. The Holy Spirit resides in those who are saved- and He keeps us from drifting and convicts us when we do something wrong or go against God. If this was one small doubt, recovered by continuing faith and knowledge that you know there IS a God- do not worry about it. Just pray about this and ask the Lord to keep you from doubting.

If you have denied the Lord to people, and have become more prone to believing other things, then yes that is not good- for it says:
Matthew 10:33
but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

My friend used to be a huge Christian. He had the signs with Bible verses on them on his front lawn. He had Bible verses stuck to his mini - van. Then I started telling him how over and over throughout history their have been stories of virgin births. Osiris was born of the Gods as well. The same story has been written over and over with different names each time. Don't you think the Bible could be a tool used by powers that be. Don't you think if it was a true path to enlightenment, that it would not be so readily available to the common man? The truth is that God will judge every mans heart. Whatever your motivation is behind your heart. But you don't need to advertise or run and congregate with part time believers. On Sunday I go fishing with my best friend and connect with God and nature that way. God said he was under every rock and I believe that. He is everywhere and a part of everything. So stop inslaving your life and your mind. God gave you life to live free in heart and mind. Stop trapping yourself with fear. God is a creator not a destroyer. He leaves the destruction to us. What do you tell the American Indian? Were they wrong for being literally wiped off the planet by Christians? They respected the Earth and its life force more than their invaders. But did they live in fear of God? No they lived along side God respectfully. All I see of the Christian movement is the constant conquering of people and their land. Taxing them and stealing their resources. It's still happening today and we pay for it to happen. As for your thoughts those are in your heart. God is in your thoughts when you clean up a littered creek. He is in your thoughts when you help the poor. He is in your thoughts whenever you do something to help. But if you are not spreading the love that exists inside naturally, are you doing it because of your fear? If you were God who would you love? The man who truley loves from within, or the man who does everything out of fear....

The truth is: you have done a lot more than that. You have done sins that you don't evn know about. The jews even had a sacrifice for those. The sins of ignorance.

So get back up, dust yourself off, and get you mind back on Christ. When you find that you have fallen short, draw in closer to Him. Know that you will never measure up to God's standard. It's part of our nature.

Matthew 11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.

19The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

He's our friend. ( :

He loves us, not because we are perfect, but because we trust Him, and we are drawn to Him by His Spirit by the will of the Father.

John 6:44
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

Oh the grace that we all gain from God, our savior!

Your thoughts are comdemnable. Yet:

1 John 2
1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

So live for Christ. Your sins are forgiven, now live in faith, that's trust, and do not let Satan be the guide for your guilt, but let Christ be the guide to life with Him.

Rejoice in the Lord, for He is so very kind to us. He loves us.

You'll grow up out of it once you realise their is no penalty for thoughts. Thoughts are natural and the more you repress it and live in fear, the more "off-limit" thoughts you will have.

Think freely and decide for yourself. The worst thing that can happen to a person is to be afraid to think and reason.
As a human being, you are made to have a reasoning mind to sort out what is logic and what does not make sense. If you repress your natural inclination to think and reason, you will end up either completely perverted and warped, or a complete idiot.

That fact that you care is evidence that you did not commit the unpardonable sin. The sin God will not forgive is only when we harden our heart continually towards God. There is a point of no return that only God knows. You care which is proof that you are fine. Look, we all sin and struggle with sin in our behavior and thoughts but Jesus forgives and helps us overcome. Remember you did not earn your salvation by your behavior and you will not lose it by your behavior. He is pleased with your heart that desires to live right. God loves you and forgives you just keep getting back up. 1John 1:9. Also thoughts in themselves are not sins if you reject them. Cast down vain imaginations.

We deny God all the time, that is why we sin. However, remember the story Jesus told:

Matthew 21:28-31:
But what think ye? A [certain] man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I [go], sir: and went not.Whether of them twain did the will of [his] father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

Satan always tries to make us deny God...all the more to believe.
Jesus said for us to endure UNTIL the end.
To maintain our faith.

You are being tested, but while you say no in your head, say YES in your HEART.

Why are you so self loathing? I think all you need to do is learn to love yourself.

"Christians only"?
- that is so wrong. That's not what this site is for, making that statement a tad unethical.

The only thing you're going to get is "look into your heart" and "pray" and stuff like that. Do you really need other people to tell you that?
