She seeks it out and licks it, to the exclusion of everything else. I have to physically pick her up and remove her from the tape; usually she is a very obedient cat and would stop what she was doing if I raised my voice. We've just moved and haven't unpacked, so there are a lot of boxes and a lot of packaging tape around. Help!

unpack quick and dont have tape around.. if she still finds tape around raise your voice or pick her up and take the tape away.. once u r done with the unpacking she'll forget the tape and start playing with another things.. plus.. are u feeding her correctly?? because if she is licking the tape then she is probably hungry or thirsty..

I'm not sure if the tapes that poisonous, but I wouldn't let her lick it so much. Don't fret over it too much unless she gets sick. Just try to unpack quick and keep her away from the tape as much as possible. This is very unusual, usually cats hate the texture of the sticky tape.

The tape "is" poisonous in large amounts but a cats immune system is so that it probably doesnt matter as long as it doesnt become a habit after your done unpacking just put the stuff up and move on the cat will as well

the glue on the tape could be poisonous. Please keep her away from the tape. Just like antifreeze tastes really good to dogs and cats, doesnt mean its okay to let them drink it.
