body hair issues?
Muslims are required to be clean in that regard - under the arms, and private area. The men don't have to have a long beard but some choose to simply because the Prophet had it in order to be different than the Jews and Christians.
Now about deoderant.... that's another issue... I grew up with deoderant here in America and we here are very sensitive to smell. In the East it's not really a concept like here. Heck - even when I was in the UK the British people stunk! It's an American thing I think!

Everyone in the Bible came from the same part of the world as everyone in the Koran.
Jesus was a Jew, in an age before safety razors, deodorant, and other such notions of modern personal hygiene, body culture and vanity. The West certainly seems to have embraced him just fine.

Muhammad would be more popular in the West if he wasn't a primitive barbarian imposing stone-age Arab cultural mores on everyone in sight. That is why Muhammad is not popular. As far as body hair goes, I don't like it, and that doesn't make Muhammad more palatable to me.

Smelly people lead people to smelly places, like the Middle East.
