Me and my boyfriend have been dating for a year and a half. I want us to make it and live forever. He doesnt know what he wants. He says we may not last forever. I know that we MAY not last, but i also know i am going to try my best to keep us together.
How do you know if you have met your soul mate? I think we are soul mates, and that he is just being logical. Is there still a chance that we could last forever?

When you meet that one person who seems to complete you you won't be asking others. Seriously, the 2 of you will connect in such a deep, emotional way that there will be no doubt. When you think alike alot of times, know what the other person needs without them asking and when you can talk openly and honestly about everything and feel like you're best friends, you've possibly found your soul mate. Don't push too hard, you can't MAKE it happen....it happens on it's own. If you continue to push him, you may lose him.

We all have multiple soulmates, male and female, young and old. If he's warning you now that your relationship may not last forever, he's not fully committed. This can have the effect of you reacting in unhealthy ways to protect your ego and the relationship when it really should be let go.
Don't get caught up on the "soulmate" word. It doesn't necessarily mean compatible life partner. You need to learn who you really are and what you really want, in and out of relationships before you can successfully commit to another human being, and vice versa.
If you're having to force, cajole, or manipulate someone (or yourself) to stay in a relationship, it's not right and will most likely get worse.

there's no such thing as soulmates. if you were soulmates you two would be on the same page. he doesn't know what he wants and he already has doubts that you may not last forever. this is not a guy you should call your soulmate. maybe you look at him as your soulmate...but does he think you're his soulmate?
