Yes cities are issuing tickets. The fine from florida to north carolina is a fat 100$ ticket sent to you via-mail. So stop on yellow.

Well, of course Cities have ALWAYS issued tickets for running red lights, but in the past someone from law enforcement had to catch you.

Cameras have changed that now but the ticket remains the same. $220 in parts of the Bay Area after they toss in all the costs and such.

It gets worse... if you loan your car and that person skates the light....and the driver can not be identified, unless you can get him or her to stand up and say 'it was me' (yeah right!) YOU are going to have to defend the ticket.

Bottom line.. don't float the light and don't loan your car to someone who does.

Many cities throughout the country are. In Toledo (OH), I think the fine is a minimum $75. The city also has cameras to catch speeders, but I think those were ruled unconstitutional last summer.

LOL, I love living in the Northeast cause we don't believe in such a ridiculous ideal. If a light is yellow you have every right to continue on. The yellow light is for people who are back to know to slow down. If you are at the light and it goes yellow, slamming your brakes is not safe.

Hell, why don't you people in the West and South just get rid of yellow altogether and go right from green to red.

I remember going to visit my GF in Fairfax, VA and they had the cameras. i bought the light spray and put in on my plate, looks normal until you flash it with a camera then it looks all white, haha.
