Why is it that guys may have double-standards and it's just shrugged off like the "norm"????
I dont think it's fair. My boyfriend can say that a girl is hot but because she is a celeb its not supposed to bother me, I dont ever say anyone is hot in front of him because its disrespectful. Or while around his female friends he can say to me "yeah I f**ked her, but only in the a-s-s", even if its a joke. But heaven forbid I say hi to a drunk 80-year old guy while we're out at the bar.
I dont get it!!!!! Why are some things "ok" for guys but then when your girl does something similar you have the right to get mad???

Sounds like you are dating an insecure jerk. He is not treating you with respect and not secure with himself. The problem is with him. The next step is up to you, it is not all guys just the majority.

You had a lot more say in making these rules than you realize. You could give him crap for talking about jessica alba, thinking a geezer would steal you away, or you could do the same crap he does and say he's being dumb when he complains about it. But since you let him get away with it before, and have accepted that he has different rules for you, you are stuck with the double standard. You can try to change things, but I don't think you are the kind of woman who would do that--you'll keep quiet and let him do as he pleases.

Most men are idiots. Most women are also idiots. I live in a world full of idiots. Unfortunately, idiotic behaviour, attitudes and value systems seem more idiotic to people whose behaviour, attitudes and value systems are different, leading to impassioned rants like this one. The height of such idiocy is to actually choose to be around someone whose value systems, behaviour and attitudes are so different to one's own as to make one angry enough to make impassioned rants to complete strangers.
Getting angry usually achieves nothing but making other people angry. Getting even is much more fun.
And remember kids... anger leads to hate... hate leads to the dark side...

Umm...well not all guys do things like that. It sounds like your boyfriend is a jerk.
If my boyfriend said that any girl, celebrity or not, was hot, I would not be happy. And vice versa. You just need to find someone who is respectful, not categorize ALL guys that way.

It sounds to me like the guys is extremely immature. There is no way in hell I'd act that way, period. It wouldn't matter whether my wife was around me or not.

Its because hes your bf and thinks your hot and he knows that when you talk to or flirt with a guy you dont mean anything by it but the guys thinking "yes, someone who finally wants to have sex with me". sad, i know but true. Youre bf knows what goes through guys minds and its the other men he doesnt trust.

Did you explain to him how you feel when he does that? I know for myself that somethings I'll say and not realize I am hurting the other person unless they tell me how they feel. If she tells me I am doing something that makes her feel bad I'll normally stop cause I don't want her to feel bad. But if she doesn't let me know I won't know to stop. Soooooo try and tell him that when he says things about other women you don't like it. If he doesn't stop after you tell him then dump him.
