The Past years it seems that Christmas has become so materalistic that the real reason and meaning has somewhere became lost or forgotton. I prey and talk to God but i am not this everydau Sunday Church going person either. I get stressed every year about 3 weeks before Christmas> I really dont know why exactly but i was wondering if it happens to others as well? E-Mail me at richard_39_2005@yahoo.com

Yes. It kills me that we as people want so much and give little back in return. It seems to me that nowadays people don't take Jesus serious. I hate the fact that Jesus has been left out of Christmas for monetary and personal gains. I pray that this change quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Yes, it is a common thing for alot of people. You will find more depressed people during the holidays then any other time and it is due to it being dark and winter for one thing. Another I think is all the commotion of it all. Seems to me that it is becoming such a monetary holiday and that is not what it is all about. Shouldn't we be thinking peace on earth and goodwill toward men EVERY day? If we can give others the gift of our love on a daily basis and everyone did this wouldn't that be a glorious thing? Nothing we can obtain in life or give is even close to what we have inside to offer one another. I think at times we think Christmas is the only time everyone loves each other. We need to change this. We need to realize that there are people needing our "gifts" every day. There is not one of us who does not need this. I would rather have a good conversation with the people I love then to open even one more material gift in life. There is NO present on the earth better then the people God has given us to love and that includes our neighbors no matter how many thousands of miles away he/she may live.As far as their religion, I am praying the best of life for them so yes, I pray they see the light. As Christians we need to let the love from Jesus shine through and not cover this light with the ways of the world. Peace everyone and Merry Christmas!

Absolutely. There are many suicides at Christmas brought on by the stress. You are lucky that you aren't stressed more than 3 weeks before Christmas -- the commercials start in October! We are becoming more and more "material" oriented.

nope... not at all.
My exwife used to get ALLLlllll stressed out for Xmas since she tried to make the holiday so special. in january she'd be drinking pepto bismol for her ulcer.

It used to stress her out so bad.

Me on the other hand, I'm more of a pagan type/atheist so I just sacrifice a small animal on the solstice and have some naked people dance around the bonfire and all is good!!

no gifts, no cookies, no parties NO RELATIVES !!! LOL!

It stresses me out every year. The shopping starts earlier and the crowds are worse. The joy of the holiday has vanished.

It used to stress me when I ALLOWED others' expectations to dictate what I would do during this season. When I finally decided to observe this season as I saw fit, I no longer feel stressed.
