Born again Christians:
We believe the Bible is God's Word inspired by Him, and containing both the Truth and the Power of God.

We believe there is only one God, He has existed forever and shows Himself to us in three ways: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God: fully God, fully man. He was miraculously born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and worked supernaturally in miracles and healing. He died in our place, and offers each man the forgiveness of their sins. He rose from the dead, returned to His Father, and will come again in power and glory to judge the nations and reward those who believe.

We believe the Holy Spirit, sent to earth on the day of Pentecost, changes our hearts and gives life to our spirits when we accept the gift of salvation offered by Christ.

We believe the Holy Spirit daily gives us power to live and act as Jesus would, and prompts us to repent when we fall short and sin.

We believe the local church is for Christians to receive instruction and encouragement for their daily living and training to make disciples of all men.

We believe in the eternal nature of the spirit of man, and that after death, we will either be forever separated from God in our unbelief, or forever rejoicing with Him because of His gift of salvation.

Plan of Salvation

1. Admit you are lost without Christ and in need of a Savior.

"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way" (Isaiah 53:6)

"Jesus said, 'Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God' " (John 3:5)

"For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God" (Romans 3:23)

2. Believe that Jesus is God's Son and that He gave Himself in death on the cross as pardon for our sin.

"But as many as received Him to them gave he power to become as sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name." (John 1:12)

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved" (Acts 16:31)

3. Confess Christ before others that He is Lord of your life and that He has forgiven you of sin through repentance and confession.

"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in Heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in Heaven." (Matt 10:32, 33)

"If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thy heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved; for with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Rom. 10:9,10)

My 'religion' is a summation of growing up Roman Catholic, wedding a Orthodox Greek, relative to a Buddhist, having dated a Muslim, visited a Jewish Synagogue and myself practicing many Dharma beliefs without ever having read them beforehand.

I believe that our energy is part of something that encompasses people of all religious beliefs. I do ignore the commonalities that they share so I do not follow one 'set' of doctrines but many.

Good Luck on your search for the answer you seek!

The Religion of LOVE

I'm Alvian. I worship Alvis. He's a messiah who was born from the virgin Delia. Alvis is the holiest man who ever slapped iron. He killed for your sins.
This is from the book of Alvis, it's appropriate since this month is Alvistide. This is the time when we Alvians celebrate by having a Feast of Alvis, then we drink deeply of the burbon, scotch and rye till such a time when we are fighting drunk, and find and beat the asses of the non believers. I'm going to get some revenge on the Krebs. They killed our lord. Remember, it's neither pomp or ham, the true meaning of Alvistide is drinking, drinking and revenge.

“On a frosty winter’s night, a wagon appeared at the gates of Fort Klugman, carrying pioneers to the frontier. A young woman in the party called Delia was heavy with child. And though she had journeyed with the virile young men for nigh on one year, none had lain with her, though she was comely. And on this frosty winter’s night, young Delia’s water broke, almost freezing her to the seat of the wagon. And the pioneers beseeched the soldiers to grant them entrance so that she could give birth to her child in the hospital there. But, due to an outbreak of syphilis among the soldiers, the hospital was full. And so there in the stable among the feed and tack and whats-its, Delia gave birth to a son whom she called Alvis as was her want. And so none of the men in the party were the father, it was decided among them that the birth of this child must truly be a miracle. And it was so, for above the fort, there suddenly and miraculously appeared an awesome and mighty comet, and so brilliant was its light, that there came from all the tribes which the soldiers had not yet decimated, shamans. And they rode upon buffalo as was their heathen custom, bearing gifts, offerings of whiskey and firearms. And when the shamans saw the child, they were in awe, for he glowed in as if bathed in a light which was truly not of this world.”

I'm a Pentecostal Christian.

The Pentecostal movement within Evangelical Christianity places special emphasis on the direct personal experience of God through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as shown in the Biblical account of the Day of Pentecost.

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd. Definitely NO RELIGION.
