Most any food will go with beer. To me the heavier tasting the beer the heavier tasting the food should be. Like with a stout I wouldn't eat a mildly flavored chicken dish. A pilsner might work with that type of dish better.

Not to sound like a guy but, FOOTBALL!!! At least that is what my guy friends would say. How about a gourmet sub, a bit grown up with prossuito, provelone, mortadela, salami, pesto, lettuce, tomato, roasted red peppers, and herbed mayo. Or, a rare steak, carmalized onion, roasted red peppers, and mozzerela on garlic bread, choice of condiments like mayo, steak sauce on the side. I serve these thigs to my boyfriends friends durring a game. They just know I made an awsome sandwich, and leave out the words gourmet when you serve it,

Anything goes with beer. Remember, it is not just a breakfast drink.

I've got to agree... hot buffalo wings, nachos, spicy things. And I know this sounds weird, but finishing off my Yuengling while eating some apple pie at Buffalo Wild Wings isn't half bad.

Bourbon!
And for food items, bratwurst - especially if you boil it in beer for a couple minutes before putting it on the grill.
