I have been advised by my G.P. to have my planter wart removed on my foot. what are the risks ???? would I need a cast or a bandage ????? would i need to stay overnight ?? would I be under a general anesthetic ???? sorry there is a lot of questions I would jsut like to no the answers thankyou soo much

First, you need to ask your physician if you don't understand the problem, risks, etc....This is not a way to do it on this forum. All patients need to understand exactly what their doctor tells them and ask their questions then...not run home to a computer. But it is a simple procedure and while your foot may be uncomfortable for a few days...it is not major surgery. and a bandage will be needed....I would use a local anesthetic. Plantar warts are nothing serious but they are troublesome and should be removed.....Next time, ask your doctor BEFORE You leave the office.

They can remove it at the podiatrist office and you will just have a bandage on the foot. They may remove it with several treatments as that is what they did to my husbands plantar wart years ago. You will just go to the podiatrist office and they will take care of it in the office. No big deal.

Maybe you should have asked the Doctor all of these questions when he advised you to have it removed, he would have given you the best answers.
