oh my gosh. i'm in a march wedding & will be doing the same thing for the reminder of the month to boost my weight loss. it's not a good idea for the long-term b/c your metabolism will slow down & your body will retain everything you eat as a survival response. i will be replacing my breakfast & lunch with a meal replacement shake called Balance Complete by Young Living. Last week I did their 5-day cleanse & lost 5 pounds. It was hard b/c by Thursday I was really missing my food. But the 5 pounds i lost gave me the encouragement I needed in order to be more thoughtful about the foods I eat. If you're only going to eat once daily, you really need to have some type of meal replacement for the other meals & a good vitamin. hot tea in between meals will keep you for getting too hungry & take care of the gas that may develop. fruit & veggies in between are another good way to keep the hunger down. remember you can't do this for the long-term but i don't think it's bad in the short term. you may just want to replace your least nutritious meal w/a shake and go really healthy w/the other two. Be careful, plan ahead, and I hope everything works out.

No. You might actually gain weight, because your body will go into starvation mode and start conserving calories rather than burning them.
I recommend checking out Weight Watchers. I lost over 40 pounds with them in just under a year. It teaches you to eat healthy and exercise, while not denying yourself the food you love. I don't mean to sound like a commercial or anything, it's just that I struggled with my weight for most of my life, and this was the only plan that worked for me. I went from a 12/14 to a 4/6.
Good luck, and congrats on your forthcoming wedding!

NO!!!! If you are only eating once per day, your body is just storing it and turning it into fat, because it is not sure when yo are going to feed it again, and if your body does that then it thinks that it will have something to survive on until you put something in to it again. I hope that, that makes sense. You really need to eat 5 to 6 times per day. I know that that sounds like alot but it really isn't, i mean you are not eating 5 to 6 big meals per day. For example when i get up (i work over nights) i eat something with in 30 minutes of being up it could be an apple orange or i like to grab a 100 calorie pack on my way out the door, then you can eat again about 2 or 3 hours later, and so on. Lunch should normally be your biggest meal of the day, because yo are still active during the day, most people after dinner watch TV and relax that is why i say that, and drink lots of water and little or no pop this will help also. I hope that this helps you and congratulations on your up coming wedding!!!!

NO - and in fact you may just GAIN weight. Why? Because the body goes into 'starvation mode' when limited to one meal a day and will then store calories/fat rather than burn them.
Believe it or not the fastest way to lose weight and do it safely is to eat SEVERAL small meals a day - and concentrate on grains/fiber; fruit and veggies with fish or lean chicken. Naturally watch the size of portions.
Get out and walk 15-20 min. a day. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the results.

depends on how much weight you want to lose.
A common misconception about losing weight is to just stop eating or take tons of diet pills as supplements. Wrong. Best way to lose weight while staying healthy is regular eating with diet and exercise. You still have PLENTY of time to lose weight before your wedding. Try joining a local gym and they'll be able to start your on a regimen that will help you do this safely. If you try the diet pills, make sure not to go overboard, and eat/exercise with them, otherwise there will be no results!!!

Probably, you won't. After some days you'll be veeeryyyy hungry and will eat everything. So this is not the best solution...
The best way to loose weight is to eat 5 times a day (after every 3 hours), but small portions(1500kcal a day). It really works, I tried it. For faster results, once a week drink only water or green tea (at least 3l) Good luck!

Initially you will, but then your body will begin to shut down thinking it's starving and will hold onto everything as hard as it can. You need to eat 5-6 times a day, but very small meals of about 300-400 calories (depending on your size). And about 100 calorie snacks. That means, breakfast, lunch & dinner and 2 snacks to help you make it in between meals. You have to keep your metabolism up so your body burns fat. And don't forget to get some exercise too like walking.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

In fact, you are more likely to GAIN weight. Your body will go into starvation mode and start hording every calorie you put into it.
The better thing to do is to cut down on your portions of food over your regular three meals. That way your body always thinks it is getting more, so it releases extra calories for energy.
Of course, a workout regime with the diet is essential too. It needn't be anything too taxing or time consuming. 20 to 30 minutes every day is more than enough. Try a Billy Blanks video. His workouts are fun, as well as productive.

No, your metabolism stops when your hungry, if this happens long enough you can do permanent damage. to keep it up eat 6 small meals a day with lots of veggies (fresh is the best way) lean meats (chicken and fish) if you eat bread and pasta go for whole wheat but avoid cabs after 7 or 8 in the evening. Look up the new food guide piramyd for correct serving sizes. No carbonated drinks (not even diet) and lots of water. and cardio exercise.
