They are two completely different types of relationships (and the love she has for each are completely different) sohonestly, most likely both are best friends to her just on separate and different levels.

A son should never be best friends with his mother. A mother is not a best friend, she is a disciplinarian when called for, a comforter and the only one who really cares as much about your bowel movements as you do lol.

A mother is so much more than a friend.

So my answer is a husband should be the best friend.

It should be her husband. But her bond with her son is a different one but, can still be her best friend. You hear all the time mom and daughters being best friends...why can't it be moms and sons?

I think it should be her husband. But if her son is an adult then they can be best friends too. Who says you can only have one best friend.

My husband is my best friend he is sweet, gentle,
