...hmmmmm, verrrry interesting/intriguing question. am not soooo sure, bill/brad. holyfield's never faced a fighter of marciano's talent, esp at cruiserweight. i've dissed on the rock quite a bit in the past, but i never could see him as a fighter who would allow himself to be stopped on cuts. he never knew the meaning of the word quit. if push came to shove, and the going got tough(insert your favorite cliche here), he'd probably "man-up," suck it up, and really put a real hurtin' on holy! holyfield would attempt to outbox rock and would be successful for probably 80 % of the fight, but rock's body attack would eventually cut evander down to his size, over the the course of the fight. i see rocky pulling out a late, and i mean a late, round come from behind stoppage. rocky kayo's holyfield! aiiight, i put it out there.....now, let the outrage fly, guys!

Very interesting question. Marciano and Holyfield are two of the bravest heavyweights ever. Both had great chins, a huge will and the heart of a lion. I think Evander Holyfield is the greatest cruiserweight of all time. I guess he would have hard time against Marciano, but in the end use his physical advantage to earn a UD or even a late finish. They say Marciano is one of the most powerful punchers in boxing history (I guess he is P4P), but he fought at a time where most heavyweights were way smaller and lighter than todays guys. Holyfields era was more modern with tougher competition I think (at average; and Lewis, Tyson and Foreman are more dangerous than Charles and Walcott in my opinion). Holyfield was a warrior, he would be more powerful and dynamic (full body movement), a little faster, more explosive and the better overall skilled boxer. I think his short hooks to an opponents head are some of the greatest I´ve ever seen. No matter how it would end, those two legends facing each other at their primes would have the potential to be one of the very best and most exciting boxing matches in the history of this sport. Kind regards! Excs my english, I´m german

Interesting fight here between two warriors. Both men are always in peak physical condition and ready for a battle of wills. Rocky has the edge in power especially with the famed Suzy Q right hand of his and Holyfield is the better boxer. There would be some fierce exchanges during this fight and Marciano's punching power would wobble Holyfield on several occasions. Holyfield would fight back hard. I believe while it lasts, it would be a close contest but Marciano would land his fabled Suzy Q in round 11 and knock out the courageous Holyfield. Good question sir.

HOLYFIELD - W (KO's 25) TF 48 - W pct 79% - KO pct 52% - wins over Dokes, Moorer, Holmes, Tyson[2], Foreman, Qawi and Douglas - KO'ed by Bowe - #77 ranked puncher - #22 ranked fighter
Won 1984 Olympic Gold medal at Lt Hwy wt
Like Ali and Holmes had victories over all the good fighters of his day
MARCIANO - W 49 (KO's 43) TF 49 - W pct 100% - KO pct 88% - wins over Louis, Walcott[2], Moore and Charles{2} - KO'ed by none - #14 ranked puncher - #12 ranked fighter
Retired undefeated as champion and as a fighter.
He was smart enough to stay retired. To me that is a great accomplishment
This will be a great bout and one for the ages. I normally would say Holyfield by a decision. Rocco will come forward and Holyfield will be loading up on him. Since this is modern times where as if a fighter is cut bad enough the ref or the doctor will stop the fight. Holyfield in a 12 rd TKO.

Brent, your twist on this changes everything.
The heavyweight version of Holyfield outclasses, outmuscles and destroys the smaller, technically inferior Marciano.
At an even weight - 190 pounds - we have another Holyfield/Qawi, with Holyfield boxing his way to a comfortable, hard fought decision or a late round stoppage on cuts.

Evander Holyfield would annihilate Rocky. Rocky is the most over-rated boxer of all time.
