In this situation, it's considered a jumped ball because it came to rest somewhere other than the bed of the table. It's a foul and ball in hand for the opponent. M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

A foul shot has been committed. Depending on which game is being played ie (Pool , Snooker or 9 ball ) the opponent will either get ( Ball in hand, Play from the D or Play behind the baulk line). Hope this answers your question.

No if the ball comes to rest anywhere than on the bed of the table it is a foul, the opponent then plays from the d with ball in hand.or replaces the ball where it was played from if a miss is called.

No, once the cueball leaves the table, whether intentionally or unintentionally, it is a foul stroke.

The cueball should be either replaced as it was (if a miss stroke is played (even though it's a stupid rule)) or played from the 'D'.
