For they are god too, aren't they?

"Folllowing this logic of yours, is God a car? Is God a doorknob? Is God a gun?
Is God a planet? Is God the man on death row that killed his family?"

YES, in my belief.

And I am not looking for respect, I'm Christian.

People make many mistakes in their lives. Being disrespectful to others because of beliefs or a lack of them... that is just another mistake to add to the tally.

There is one God.
We are not a God.
God made everything that is good, He is not everything. Folllowing this logic of yours, is God a car? Is God a doorknob? Is God a gun?
Is God a planet? Is God the man on death row that killed his family?
NO

You're mis-informed, and making a very generalized statement. I respect everyone. That does not mean that I have to agree with them, nor be tolerant of their opinion.

Also, respect is very much two sided. The majority of atheists who post "questions" on Yahoo Answers are demeaning, hate filled, angry and utterly disrespectful to anyone other than their fellow atheists. They tend to be as close minded if not more so than they claim Christians to be.

I find it difficult to offer respect to a person for their choice, if they do not in turn offer the same respect toward me.

Respect is earned. If u attack the beliefs the effect will be to defend what they believe and the cycle goes on & on. Peace God bless

I respect atheists as people. As God's creation. I just don't agree with their views.

Atheist is just another label. Just as all Christians are not fundamentalists, so not all Atheists are out to undercut the faith of those who belive impossible things.

I respect atheists in the same way that I respect anyone - on an individual basis.

I respect their non-belief, certainly.

I don't know of anybody who believes that "God is everything", except for perhaps natural spiritism. Those folks are really laid-back.

Christianity, for one, does not teach that "God is everything".

Atheists are not of God. So God aint in them. Atheists are not Gods. Nobody is. Jesus is the only God.
