I know that the goddess Wohpe ("falling star") is the daughter of Takushkanshkan ("something that moves"), the Sun, who is married to the Moon.

She came down from the heavens and gave the Lakota's a pipe as a symbol of peace.

So it could refer to her.

Apparently it does refer to her. I looked it up last night in my old notes.

It means there are as many white men coming as there are stars in the sky and our culture is going to be put on hold.
