It was one of those christmas presents shipped to us, with the boxed meats of ham and bacon and sausage. the meat is all sealed up in a air tight container, how long can it sit at room temperature and still be safe to eat? It is raw meats.

You should probably freeze is immediately! Meat really shouldn't be sitting around at room temperature unless it's salted heavily. I don't know what the salt does to stop it going off but it does.

You can't leave it at room temperature. If the meat is vac packed (wrapped in plastic covering with air removed) then stick it in the freezer, the packaging will prevent freezer burn so the meat will be perfect when you take it out of the freezer. Put it in the fridge if you don't want to freeze it but do not leave it at room temperature if you're planning on eating it. Even though the meat packaging is sealed it still needs refrigeration temps to prevent spoilage.

as long as it is sealed in a bag and shipped in "dry ice", you don't have anything to worry about. so tell them to ship it in dry ice because that's what they're supposed to do.

First, what does it smell?... If any doubt, throw it...
If it smells good, just be confident in your own taste, trust your body, if you are careful, you may detect something... or enjoy
