ive recently purchased an airline ticket to paris for the new year, and now i'm debating not going. do i have any option: sell the ticket to someone and change the name, or anything else? it is a non-refundable ticket, but i got it for a good deal?

What do you feel?

Unfortunately you can not sell the ticket. It can only be used by the person whose name is on it. It used to be possible, but due to security you no longer can. If you do decide to not go you can cancel the reservation and use it in the future with a change fee. Usually it can used for up to a year, but it depends on the rules of airline.

I did that once with a ticket to Frankfurt. I bought the ticket on the phone with the airline, so I didn't accually have the ticket in hand. I called the airline and just changed the name to the person I sold it to. I guess if you have the ticket in hand, go to, or call where you bought the ticket and change it to the other person. good luck.

First check with the airline how much it will be to change the name on the tickets and if this is possible. If it is ok then you will be able to sell the flight ticket, but must make the buyer aware of the extra costs to change the ticket name.

I'm not sure if you can or not....but i don't see why not!! I can't imagine that you can't just switch the name on the ticket although I don't how involved that is in order to do that!! But Paris sounds great why would you not wanna go?...how much are you looking to sell the tickets for? Good Luck!!

Call the air line to see if you can sell it - I see in the paper people selling air line tickets all the time, you might have to take less than what you payed for it but you wouldn't be out all the money.

Not directly, only through the airline company as the ticket is in your name and it is your name that will be entered in the passenger list.

You can sell through the airlines. If you buy through orbitz or some other sites.. you have to approach them. I think there is some charge for cancelling.

Put it on Ebay! People are always looking for last minute deals and if you put it in at a good price... you'll probably sell it!

No.

The terms on the ticket contract will say "Non-Negotiable" & "Non-Transferable"
