Is the stair climber very effective comparing to the eliptical or tredmill?? Can u lose and tone quickly with the stair climber? Does it work the tummy area or only the hips/thighs. Should a person be on the machine for about 40mins to see results?…any suggestions on losing about 10lbs in one months of time.

no. not more effective than elliptical or treadmill.

it will tone the back and front of legs and calves. also if u use balance instead of clinging to the machine it will cause ur core to work a little, but prob. not what ur wanting (will have to other exercises for tummy)

*be careful with the knee. if u have any probs with knees dont do this machine. it puts unnecessary stress on knee and will cause pain even when not using machine.

I'm going to deliver you a quite distinct reply. Those house style steppers are not well for a truly aerobic blast. You'd be higher off with the variety of stair climbers you'll be able to discover in gyms. But to relatively use them good, do not lean at the hand rails in any respect. This is helping your stability too. And higher but, climb truly stairs. You'll quickly observe what a first-class activity truly stair hiking is. It'll pop your calves. And failing that, doing leaping jacks at house may be a first-class choice. Hope this is helping, Jack
