pretty much- people need to learn so many things before sex is truly good:
one's own body and what it likes
one's partner's body and what it likes
to separate sex from love (2 different issues in many but not all cases but helps to know the difference... it's ok for sex to be JUST sex)
and for women especially- it really helps to accept your body the way it is and to NOT worry about how it looks but to enjoy and appreciate the wonderful things it can make you feel

Depends on what your preconceived notion is and what your expectations are. Don't expect too much, remember its unknown territory and a totally new experience. Ask your guy to be a little patient as well as gentle because the first time for a woman can cause some pain. Just relax and let him lead the way. You might be a little disappointed because most women expect to climax the first time and a lot of them don't. But the bright side of it is that he gets to make it up to the second time around, the third time, the fourth time, you get my drift. Don't go into this thinking its just sex, remember its more than that, its about two people becoming one and bonding in the most elemental way. Frankly I say do not go into this experience expecting anything. Keep a clear mind and whatever happens, happens. The main thing is that you can improve on what you did experience. Good luck.

The first time you have no real idea what you like so it can be very bad. It can be very painful. It can also be very good when the 2 people are very open about what they feel and want. Remember there is nothing wrong with asking questions during but hopefully the next time will be much better after you find out what you like. It can be a great experience if it is with someone you TRULY LOVE.

If you are knowledgeable about human anatomy and have a fair idea of what the physical would result in, you are better prepared mentally to go thru the 'first time'. There is nothing like experience, and the first time in anything, is always stressful, due to fear of the unknown (inexperience).
Fortunately, a lot of info on the subject is readily available and one should spend some time on reading up, to face the first encounter. Good luck.

It is not always bad. There is a friend who remembers the first day like a day in paradise. It was with some one she loved and he was gentle on her. And he supported her through the whole thing.
So it is not always that bad

no, not for my age group. i am 24 and if you get a guy that is experienced, i think the first time is better than any other time. it is so magical and sensual. i wish it would stay that way, but for some reason, guys get sloppy and just don't care anymore.

No, I don't think it necessarily has to be bad. Just relax and take it slow. And make sure you're ready and with the right person.
