when collection agencies or credit card companies check your credit, it does not make your credit go down.

The only time it makes your credit go down is if YOU request a credit check, like if you are considering buying a car and ask several different companies for loan rates. If you ask too many companies for rates and then dont buy a car, your credit goes down.

absolutely no one can check your credit without your permission. The credit bureau can cut off their account if they find out. Let them know about this.
