Hi, I've been dumped by a guy 3 weeks ago... our relationship only lasted 2 months, but I liked him for more than half a year and I really expected more... and I still couldn't get over him.
There is a cute guy at my college who likes me and I kinda like him but I still think way too much about my ex.
Should I hook up with the new guy to help me forgeting the ex?
Also consider that no matter what happens b/w us, I'm gonna see the new man 3 times a week for 2 years at school!

A new love interest won't get the old one out of your head.

Talk to cute guy and say that you like him but you're still having a hard time getting over the hurt of the last. Ask to take things slowly and be honest with him.

The old guy is gone and you can't wallow in that, but its unfair to get involved with someone else if you're not in the right place emotionally to be in a new relationship. That said, no harm in talking to the new guy, spending some time with him, and if you're honest with him, he should be sensitive to that and he'll wait.

It's different for different people but I've definitley found that someone new can really help you get over someone. I'm not sure you should go for the guy in the class though. He sounds nice and could have potential in the future. Grab yourself a rebound guy.

A new fling can definitely help with a breakup, but I don't recommend getting emotionally attached to the new guy. Also, make it clear that you want nothing serious right now. But dating can really help. It can boost your confidence and get you out of the house. So there's no excuse for just sitting around and moping all day.

NO.

Work out your issues with Guy 1 and then pursue a relationship. Guy 2 deserves to be better than a stand-in. He exists outside your own personal convenience.

No you should never get with another guy just to forget your ex. Because if you get out of one relationship and then get into another one, this guy may hurt worse than the first one did. So my advice to you is don't rush yourself into a relationship when you are just getting out of one.

Would that be fair to the new guy ? If that's the only reason for "getting" A new guy then maybe you should learn A little respect for fellow human beings.

Only if,this other guy is better than your ex and has a great possibility that he can make you so much inlove unto him,but if you think this guy will never ever be better to your ex,then find someone much better,,,
