My reaction to that, as a parent, would depend on the circumstances surrounding the insult. Jesus may have made him do it. (you know that whole fit in the temple about the money changers) I

He's rebellious, and by resisting athority, he exibits inteligence.
I believe he's going to live a very happy life.
You put too much blame on the devil. He may be evil, but even he takes a break now and again

I think he is just succumbing to the animalistic tendencies of his subconscious mind.
