What are the criteria for canonization?

The candidate must have at least three miracles attributed to their intercession and have led a holy life.

It had to be the prevailing opinion of the time.

In the Hebrew Bible, prophesy must have come to pass before being included.

to be written in the first century.

The Nag Hammadi from the 2nd or 3rd century.

Gospel of Mary 3rd century.

Makes sense to me because of all the gnosticism floating around. (and other heresies).
