I posted a question yesterday about wanting new male friends because I had to get rid of the male friends in my life...they were wanting an intimate relationship with me and I didn't want that. Some guy posted an answer that I so did not agree with. Basically he was saying that men are going to want to "do" every female that they are friends with...I don't agree with that. Obviously this is a person who can't handle having female friends w/o the benefits. I want to hear from someone who can.

In response to LuvsMocha...I think it is pretty obvious that I wanted the question answered since I did choose to post it...I wanted to prove him wrong...that is why I posted this question.

Does the really learn or only the mail's editorialising element out that its lady instructors. Hartley herself makes use of the note human being at the same time as the mail makes use of the inserts the note women and then notes "The learn drew no large distinction between the ideals and college room practices of male and lady instructors" i.e. the learn won't be able to fairly communicate for you or the mail's concept. not often outstanding that the Mail would come out with this given its objective readership. more desirable to the point women instructors have outnumbered male instructors lengthy before the boy disaster because the 1870s and through 1960-80, by wonder in 1990 this theory resurfaced. Its not often previous even with the truth that it became between the principled in the back of installation the boy faculties because adult males were being feminised in the living house. in truth her study only factors out that colleges characterise boys in a particular way(the position hartley says adults advise stereotypes the mail writes women urge boys to act in female innovations-no longer the learn). also the researcher signifies that instructors strengthen and assume boys low performance as masculine so i do not imagine it fairly works alongside the argument that instructors are surpressing masculinity because the mens move would argue. and many different study educate that laddish behaviour is major in determining antiswot attitudes as well. at the same time as boys are envisioned to act this manner ladies that do are harshly criticised in accordance to study by using diane ray. Its unusual that social structures do not exist. Em except in the social structure of boys underperfomance by using lady instructors in accordance to you. and really the state and women can socially construct("engineer") issues no longer church homes, communities familes or friends- What a double familiar.

I think the guy gave you his honest answer. I mean, your male friends wanting to sleep with you reinforced the poster's point.
Most guys are at least going to try to see if they can sleep with their female friends. The ones who respect your wishes are the ones you keep as a friend.
I think your question was really not a question that you wanted an answer to...since you already have the 'answer'.

I'm married, but I have a few female friends. I've never hit on them, nor do I have any desire to. I've known one of them for over 6 years and she is pretty much the sister I never had.

Yes, it is possible. The guy just needs to have some self-control and respect. People seem to be lacking in both of those these days...

Absolutely possible. I have some female friends and I never tried to do anything with them. It is "friendship". No kissing, no sex, no nothing. Just friends with similar interests. Nothing else.
