Could it be because Mohammed (peace be upon him) was just another warmonger.

My guess is that it is a simple misunderstanding that the Muslims have about the phrase.....

"Peace be Upon Him" originally a term to signify that this person had died. Now automatically attached by Orthodox views to all the Prophets since it is optional for evryone else that has died.

Because Islam means Submission (to Allah's will). Same as the Christians though, they would like us to submit to Jesus. The Qu'ran is slightly more explicit about how the rest of the world should be submitted, but that's really splitting hairs. The bible also states that adulterers, profaners and homos should be stoned to death. Two ancient scriptures from the iron age.

Peace and hate are in all men. Some let the hate show in them, and some let the peace and love show. It does not matter religion, country, or race.

The phrase, 'peace be upon him', is akin to 'blessed is his holy name', which Christians say when talking about Jesus.

No. You need to do some research so you won't appear so ignorant. Read up on ancient history.
