Does lemon still lighten your hair if you don't go out in sunlight? How often should you apply it to get fast results?

It works with heat, so if you can't go out in the sunlight, try using your hair dryer. Apply the juice on slightly damp hair and blow-dry for 15-20 min. Don't over do it. Once a week is sufficient. More than that can make hair dry and straw-like. And do wash it off with shampoo and apply some good conditioner to prevent dryness.

When I was 13 years old I decided I wanted to become a lovely blonde beauty. During the summer months I sprayed lemon juice in my hair. By the time school started my hair was not blonde, but a horrid shade of red. The lemon juice will pick up your hairs natural colors. If you have a tendency for blonde, it may work, if not beware!

people usually squeeze lemon juice in their hair or use products with lemon in them, then lay out in the sun. i guess the acidity or something els ein the lemons helps lighten up your hair. i dont think just lemon juice and no sun will work though.
