How could a family make their one or two acre property totally pollution free?

I'm talking about air, water, soil and noise pollution. All sewerage, refuse, trash, emissions would have to be recycled or purified somehow.

What do you think of this concept? What if we made this an ideal to strive for world-over?

I don't believe that it is possible for humans to live totally pollution free. There are many ways to REDUCE and ELIMINATE most sources of pollution and energy use, but it cannot be eliminated completely.

If you use any water, that will get polluted just by normal human activities.

If you use heat for cooking or heat for comfort, that will cause pollution. If you use electricity, that causes pollution somewhere.

If you use any product made anywhere else, that will cause pollution in the places it was made, the places where the materials came from, and in transporting those items to you.
Every product you use results in some type of pollution or fuel use.

The truth is, we cannot stop pollution. But, all efforts to reduce pollution SHOULD be done. Cutting back on purchasing consumer goods; producing your own food; composing, reusing, and recycling trash and refuse; cutting back on electricity and fuel use; and thousands of other things are small steps that EVERYONE should be doing.

you can't ever make it pollution free. the pollution from the world around you seeps in through the cracks and this cannot be achieved. i would suggest that you can make it better by taking care of it properly. if you are living on it, you WILL create pollution. period. humans=pollution. you can just help compensate for your existence through complicated measures.
