Holy Spirit vs Holy Ghost. I use the two terms interchangeably. If there is some subtle difference in definitions, I don't know what it is off the top of my head. Perhaps the Holy Ghost is the being and the Holy Spirit is the influence that we feel. That's the best that I could come up with without researching it a bit. We believe that the God is literally Christ's father (both spiritually and physically). We believe that they both have physical bodies. We believe that they, with the Holy Ghost are unified in purpose, but not being. Hope that helps.

the Catholic Church has always said Holy Ghost. It was around the 18th century that people started to say Holy Spirit because the word ghost was scaring their children during religious teachings and prayer time. He really is the Holy Ghost, which is a spirit. Ghosts in the sense of dead people's spirits do not exist. Dead people's soul go before Jesus for the first judgement, their spirit remains within their body and is buried with the body. When Jesus comes to earth again and has the final judgment on us all, living and dead, He will raise the dead, body and spirit. He will judge them and they will be reunited with their souls and either go to hell or Heaven. This is in accord to Catholism. Demons are not ghosts. This isn't in the Bible anywhere. If it's in your bible, please give me reference. Do you read the King James version? That bible has many mistranslations from Hebrew and Latin. Demons are the angels that fell with Lucifer. They are submissive to Satan.

You can say Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. They are referring to the same Divine Person.
