I was recently seeing someone on a casual basis but we were quite close, given that we'd only known each other a few months. We were texting each other every single day and ringing fairly regularly too. Usually one person does most of the running but it was equal with us and felt natural.

He's suddenly stopped all contact so it's quite obvious he no longer wants to see me! I have texted and rang twice but heard nothing - he has cut me dead. Obviously I'm not going to stalk him....I get the message!! Just wish he could have been straight with me - I didn't have him down as being a coward.

My friends say that all guys "make a comeback" and are convinced he'll be back in touch before Xmas, probably by way of a text when he's drunk. I'm not so sure; I think he's met someone else or maybe got back with his ex. It's driving me mad as he was really into me.....or so it seemed!!!!

Do most guys get back in contact at some point? Do you think I'll hear from him again?

By the way, if he did make a comeback, I'd tell him where to get off! I deserve better than to be treated like that!! Just wondering whether he will get in touch or not.

oh we come calling when the distraction that caused him to stop connecting with you goes away - beware and know the truth now - he'll go dark on you again..... better you find a new distraction so you can prove your friends wrong!

As you said, you 2 were only in a "casual" relationship.
So you were not exclusive. You were a "friend" to him.
I think he met someone special before Xmas, and want to concentrate with her.
When that happens, love goes blind. Friends come second. And people who were in some kinda relation than "friends" would be pushed away to third.
So don't expect anything! Try looking for someone else, it'll be sad for you waiting for him to call you for Xmas...cuz that's gonna be quite rare to happen.

Yep. Probably some seriously unresolved feelings about you at work here. Best to do a face-to-face reality check with him next time around; it'll save you both a great deal of grief in the end.

My ex just txt me bout half hour ago to say that he was sorry for how he treated me... So to your question, I would answer yes. Just give it time and no doubt he will be in touch. Then you get to make him sweat by not txting back for a while... its a good feeling X

I think he's gone and you should move on very quickly, he's a bit of a coward if he didn't have the balls to tell you that it was over though. ur better off away.

Some do. But I would not be sitting at the phone waiting for him to call. Move on

He did it once he will do it again.

some do some dont. depends on the reason for breaking contact in the first place. if he loves you then he will be back, trust your gut instinct. its probably right.
