If you knew someone was promiscuous, would this be a turn-on to you, because of experience? or a turn-off, because they have been around?

I'm asking because I know this guy who I know has been with over 50 girls (he is 27) and I've known him since childhood. I use to think he was really cute, but now I find him appalling. I was wondering if others felt the same way.

Depending on the situation I would have to say more of a turn-off because now a days you never know what kind of diseases they could have. I'd rather pass then have something "stuck" with me for the rest of my life!

It all depends what you're looking for. It'd put me off a relationship with them, because they're obviously not ready to settle down with one partner (sexual or otherwise). But to be honest with you, it'd probably be a HUGE turn-on for me if I was free, single and up for a good time - they obviously know what goes where and what it takes to give someone a great time. Spare some thought for WHY they're promiscuous though - are they just looking for great sex without the hassle of a relationship? Or are they emotionally unable to commit to something concrete, which is precisely why they're so casual about their sex life?
At the end of the day though, don't read TOO much into it. If they're attractive and the feeling's mutual, and neither of you are under any illusions as to what the situation is....just go for it.

It depends. If they were promiscuous because they liked sex and didn't like the hassle of relationships, that's something I can respect - I'm not sure it's entirely a turn-on, but it certainly ain't a turn-off. If they're promiscuous because they are fulfilling an emotional need with sex and not following through because of the same emotional issues, then no - big turn-off - color me disinterested.
Cheers

I think it should be a dont ask dont tell kind of thing. And, I would hope that safe sex would be involved!! Sexual relations is a very private thing, and no one wants to be reminded of the people that have been there before you. It is not about the turn on or turn off, with someone's history, it is about whether or not we would have the right "chemistry". Does he make me feel like the woman of his dreams? If he can do that, then I dont care how many people he has been with. However, I wouldnt want to know either!

Promiscuous but discerning is ok. Would we condemn a guy for that? powerful and thinking women who enjoy sex and admit it are a huge turn on! do we mean promiscuous as in a different lover each day, or simply a bit of variety in the diet? If there is some level of honesty and care for the feelings of others, and if everyone knows where they stand, then....go for it! and if you come to australia, messege me :o)

Definitely a turnoff. Who wants to be involved or have sex with someone who has been sexy with so many others?
There is such a danger of disease now, even life threatening diseases. And if you are looking for a more serious, fulfilling relationship, I just don't even feel you could trust this promiscuous person.
Stay away from promiscuous people! It just won't turn out good for you!
Good luck!

Depends what u into but it is often classier if a promiscuous girl doesnt say with her mouth that she actually is and takes the unsuspecting guy by suprise when they are between the sheets by outsmarting his moves and teaching him a thing or 2 and leave him asking 'where d'you learn how to do that?' (but i doubt he'll do it out loud!)

Turn off- youd always be wondering if they were comparing you to all the others and you wouldnt know if you were just another one of their conquests rather than a real relationship.
