Don't bring it up, but when people ask you or are talking about it you can defend the truth about what happened, ie nothing. Gossip happens, and it sucks, but some people are just ignorant enough to believe anything they hear. Your true friends will know that it isn't based in fact and should stick by you, as for the rest who are propagating this tale, they are not your friends. This is a tricky situation, there isn't too much you can actively do, you just have to wait it out until the next big rumour comes to light and shadows yours into history. In the mean time try to concentrate on other things, don't get to worked up over the social implications a rumour like this can have (in time no one will care anymore and those who remember can be told the truth to) and stick by the people who show good common sense by not buying into this hogwash. Hang in there! I don't know how old you are or what grade you are in, but soon enough you'll be out of that school and living in the real world where most people tend to be a lot more grown up and not so into the spreading vicious lies thing. I hope you keep your head up and don't let this get you down to much.

A ridiculous rumour!

And your friends... they're not acting like they're friends. I'm not sure what to suggest as people are people and even if a rumour is clearly untrue, people like a good laugh and pass it around. If some wiseguy comes up and says something like "I heard some rumour about you and 5 guys having sex" have a retort ready like "Yeah, it was me, your dad and four of your uncle's. We were going to invite you but rumour has it you had a tiny dick". Or, if a girl says it, "No, it was just the one. I tried to beat your record of 10 guys in one go but I guess I'm not that kind of girl"

These are not friends of yours. People are going to believe what they want. If anyone ask you politely say no it was not you.

I also would not speak to these people again. Find some new friends to hang with. And when they ask tell them "With friends like you I don't need any enemies"

It seems a little difficult ,I can understand that ,anyway I think you can ask your friends who are telling others whether they have witnesses or material evidence ,and you can say to others ,if just according to what someone said to judge one thing ,then everything wrong can become right !!! I hope you can feel better now .

what they say about things like that is just words! If you didn't do it than you didn't do it! Don't let that get to you, it just shows them that you have something to hide and then they will believe it is true. But if you show no sign of it bothering you than they will leave it alone!

Just say to them it's not true and if they don't believe you then they are not really your friends then. No-one needs people like that.

simply ignore them what does it matter? you know its not true and they are going to be jerks and mock you about it even if god told them it wasnt true (but there is no god) and tell them they can waste there life laughing at you while you continue on in your life. when your out of school no ones knows anything about you and retards @ school are just jerks again ignore them!

well if your "friends" are talking negative about you then get rid of them cause they are not your friends.

also dont worry about what anyone says about you the only person you have to prove anything to is yourself, if others want to believe this about you then let them

as my mother told me a long time ago,,,, you must be very important to be the topic of conversation.... in other words its all about jealousy,

as long as you know its not true then dont let it get to you,

Just call their bluff and sleep with five guys in a church- you'll be the most popular girl in school.
