If you could, Im not sure how credible it would be. All of the worlds major religions started with the teachings of Avatars. From Enlighten words, followers based religions off of the Great teachers. Jesus didn't not creat Christianity. Buddha did not make up Buddhism. Mohammad did not start Islam. These Earthly humans experienced God-Realization, the highest Truth of life and their deciple sought to experience it too. By documentation of the way to God-Realization through their teachings religion was manifested. Once God is Realized the way should be abandoned, for one "Is" what was sought. The traveler has reached the destination. The lost has found the way back home; why would there be further need for a map?

Of course...just remember you need a few things:

1) A holy book
2) Some sort of thing to worship (i.e. god, unicorn, flying spaghetti monster, etc.)
3) Rules (written or unwritten, doesn't matter apparently)
4) A gathering place
5) At least one holy day...preferably December 25th since that is a very popular day for stealing other's holidays....

yes you can.
but there are laws that require attention before you can do so.
like you must have at least more than a small coven.
You also have to figure out what your church believes and you have to file several forms with the government local and federal and with the IRS
i came across the church of the pink bunny

Yes, you can. Just remember, there is a difference between your personal convictions and social acceptance. This latter is part of what defines religion.

Try to differentiate between God and Human.
A religion is a way that is shown to His people by Almighty "God", not by Humans.
Hope I answered your question.

Sure.

Of course, you'll have to keep in mind that humanity doesn't treat our religious heads too nicely.

Whatever you do, if you go out to dinner with your twelve key followers and one slips out early...crash at someone else's place that night.
