How do i handle this situation, I'm in love with 1 of my colleagues. He is 10yrs older than me, Its a total different feeling. We are so much alike, I wouldnt say its hopelessly in love, but I would really like to spend more time with him. I know the feeling is mutual, We went camping with few other friends and colleagues and he would hold me in his arms and we have these incredible conversations, but after the camping back at work, He would still come sit in my office and chat for a while but it feels like he is avoiding me.....what to do....do I rather leave it or..........HELP!!!!

Both single? Try dating who cares if he is 40 and your 30 ( 50, 40 or 30/20) If you don't show him your interested he probably will move on.

Work place romances are tricky and sticky. but....from what you said it seems like you have a real basis for something really nice. I guess there are several choices. 1) You could just grow the relationship in a gentle and open minded way, by suggesting further social activities now and then, a game of chess, a movie, a lunch or a coffee invitation. continue your great conversations and see how it goes with more time. a plant often does well simply with some sunlight and regular water. or 2) you could discuss the issue outright. which may appeal to some people but I recommend against it at his stage. or 3) ( dont do this but its an option) you could ask him over for dinner, say youre just going to take a shower and then leave the door to the bathroom open. or both go and have a massage together or something ( deep end here i am come and get me approach.) :o)

Why not invite him for a drink after work. If he "makes excuses", you'll know. If he goes, lead the conversation toward an actual date and see what happens. Good luck.

My thought is never get involve with people you work with, friendships are great, but in the romance area, it is not good, few has worked out, but many have failed. Their is nothing you can do, if he is avoiding you, life goes on, just go about your work as nothing has happened, he will eventually say something to you! Have a great holiday!
