Well I was wondering you know how in the bible it says sucide will instantly cast you to hell what happens if you had to suicide like its either you get a rope or sleeve and hang yourself (you will get lightheaded and fall asleep while suffocating and die) before being brutally beaten, cut, electricuted and burnt?

Would a religious person want to go through with intense pain to get into heaven or a quick way out to keep the pain away but go to hell what do you think?

Im just curious

It's wrong to take a life, even your own. I would go through the pain safe in the knowledge that I would have everlasting life with no more pain.

Merry Christmas.

I don't think the bible says that suicide is a sin. I think ( someone may correct me if I am wrong) that the dogmatic problem is that in the course of self murder you commit a sin that you don't have to oppurtunity to repent from.
Someone who has a true belief in both heaven and hell and that suicide will send him to hell should obviously opt for the finite level of pain this natural death will lead to rather than the infinit level of pain many christians believe hell entials ( I don't believe this personally).
But is suicide Always wrong? I don't think the bible condemns the jews at Masada. If suicide was justified in that case, when death was inevitable, why would it not be allowed in other cases were death was imminant and inevitable?

Where did you find in God's word sucide will cast you into hell?
I dont think you will find it in there. I believe its wrong. Do you know the only reason people go to hell in first place is because they reject Jesus. If I should have a slow painful death then thats what I am to go through. I prefer a quick death, but what ever should happen I know it will not be long, not when its compared to eternity with Jesus in Heaven.

The Assemblies of God condemns as immoral the killing of the weak, the physically challenged, the mentally ill, or the aged, whether by a deliberate act or by coercing or assisting a person to commit suicide.4 God is both the giver of life and the arbiter of life. Fully informed and freely chosen suicide is the final usurpation of the divine prerogative. Humans are not empowered to take their own lives or the lives of others.5 The sick and the weak must not be made to feel that they are a burden and have a moral obligation to relieve society of that burden. Their depression and illnesses often bring severe emotional and physical pain and raise serious questions about their ability to freely choose suicide. It should be remembered that many suicides occur in times of deep depression and great physical pain, when personal judgment and responsibility are seriously impaired. The Assemblies of God does not assume that all such persons are eternally lost.

The bible says is wrong to kill. That includes yourself too and the abortion. God gave life. You can't take it cause it's not yours. After you're dead you can't ask for forgiveness so you die disappointing God.
Let's remember Stephen. He preferred to die so that he didn't brake God's law. <> - Acts 7:59.
Immortality isn't a biblical teaching. "For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust. Who is there knowing the spirit of the sons of mankind, whether it is ascending upward; and the spirit of the beast, whether it is descending downward to the earth?" (spirit means breath of life from God) - Ecclesiastes 3:19-21.

I believe in reincarnation, and suicide is like the easy way out. In your next life, you will go through the same actions, same experiences, only in a different manner.

Ever have Deja Vu? Suicide is a bad form of death, because you have to complete this life, no matter how painfull or difficult it is.

We are all here to learn, and you learn nothing from killing yourself. A painfull death will give you time to think about your life and why you ended up with a painfull death.

never says that suicide will send you to hell in the Bible. however that was a tradition that many people and religious groups still believe. it is NOT based on scripture

read the books before posting stupid questions.

whether or not suicide is a sin doesn't mean that you go to hell for it, that's simple-minded and totally goes against the concept of Grace. God saves those who are believers in him, not those who make sure they die on a good note only

Suicide is disallowed in some religions, allowed in others. Even among those who limit their actions by their religious beliefs, not everybody is denied the quick release from intense, enduring pain.

It kinda makes you wonder how compassionate those religions truly are, doesn't it?

I don't believe any Christian would do suicide. And I certainly would not want to go to Hell for eternity.

I think regardless of religion, all humans hope for a quick death. No one likes to suffer.
