They are many religions all preching about God - Heaven and Hell but no one can prove that he is real. You go by books and scriptures which could have been created by anyone with high inelligence. They are so many flaws and contridictions in the bible so why do you continue to belive? I mean, why not workship fairys at the bottom of the Garden.
Surely the bible was written to explain a question that cannot be answered on how Earth, Man, Women was created and to make us all behave better!

Sabrina, if God was with us everyday why would he allow the killing, abuse, devistation, starvation and everything else that happens in the World. Is God so cruel as to allow this? Has he given this world a sign? You have nothing except blind faith - nothing more.

Are we the only intelligent being in the whole universe? Could there not be someone more intelligence and powerful like God who created the heavens and the earth and everything else. We as a lesser being cannot and are not in a postion write off a more superior being than us. There is just too big a gap between a natural being (man) and a supernatural and spiritual being (God).

You have been reading Richard Dawkins, and if you haven't you should. The man is a legend of rational thinking.
My answer to your question is that the chances that there is a supernatual higher being that created us are extremely small and the theory of evolution by natural selection really destroys the need for a god to explain why we are here.
The bible is the biggest fictional story in history. It was written by many many authors over hundred of years nearly a thousand years after the events it fabricates.
The earth is six billion years old. Life has been on earth 3 billion years and we humans have been here for only the last 100,000 years or so. Yet some people decide the bible tells the whole story and that the earth was created about 9000 years ago. Unbelievable. Literally. Lets lose religion.

There is definatly a God. How bout you pick up the bible and read it. There is no way that even the greatest author could write all that. Some of the things in there were said to come true thousand of years ago and they are comming true today. Read Revelation all the stuff in there is going to happen some day.

honestly!!! It replaced into something extra formal, yet I used to seek for suggestion from from Him even with the reason and when you consider that I kept ahead to my own ambition and needs, at the same time as He gave me avertisements I kept none and did my way going into more and more trubles! Into an end, interior of a deep depresion, He kept my existence (!!!) the very 2d I left away of all my deep needs... First of all - there are no flaws or contradictions in the Bible - that is a lie from the devil. God is so real - I have a personal relationship with Him as well as His Son Jesus Christ. It is not "religion". It is a thriving, real, alive relationship with God, my Creator, my Friend. Why do I believe it? Because I had a life changing experience and God changed me. He loves you so much and He wants that same relationship with you dear one. I pray you find the Truth - Jesus Christ - but first you must believe and then receive . Blessings.

Faith in good things to come, and rewards for DEALING with this earth is a good motivation as any to believe. Why believe in a pointless meaningless life that has no reason for morals? Why NOT have something to look forward to after you die? WHile you're alive for that matter? I never asked to be here, and by the way people are i surely don't enjoy it either, yet when you do good things, or good things come it seems to be the right thing to do, so why not have a purpose in life for the sake of greater rewards for dealing with the constant drama, sorrow, suffering, and ignorance this world has to offer?
People aren't fools for believing in god, for having a religion, it's the fools that don't know how to control themselves with it that are the fools. Not everyone is a freakin extremist christian that'll chase after atheists and scream "BURN IN HELL NON-BELIEVER!" all the damn time, not everyone goes jihad and freakin commits suicide to kill others for alah, NOT EVERYONE FREAKIN CARES ABOUT THE FACT YOU THINK THERE'S NO GOD! So to constantly bicker, sneer, and give pejorative remarks to people because they believe in what you think is simple fairtytale beckons me to ask what do you believe in and why would you want to live with such a hopeless life? And under what grounds gives you reason to think you should follow societies morals and values? If you don't believe in the idea of what god and the bible is supposed to entail, then why do you unconsciously follow it? Technically by all means you can rob steal, kill, cheat, do whatever you feel like doing without no regard for consequence except for the damn law that abides rules that even stem from the bible itself.
Honestly you may believe religion is 50% the cause of all wars, but without religion, people will lack motivation or any purpose, and that leads to anarchy....and then we won't HAVE what we have today, it's what happened to rome when it shunned the whole idea of christian faith, even their own gods, even philosophy itself, due to the crisis of having religion.
Well anyway, there's a God to me, my life and what i've dealt with has proven that much, as far as what goes on with god, satan, and the likes, i have no idea, but i know there's a god to me, and there's a reason for me being alive....I don't want to live knowin i lived for practically nothing but a dumb*ss natural cycle, or reincarnation....or just die.....damn.

If it is so simple to create, then why hasn't anyone been able to easily disprove it?
you can't prove love, goodness, or hope...but you don't deny that they exist. science is great...but it doesn't answer any of the important questions in life
there is much more to belief in God than blind faith, it is faith based on reason and evidence

Yes.
there is a god. and without having joined any church, someone gave me a bible which i read and believed. I prayed and one day i came home from school and saw an angel enter my room.
that proved to ME ! there is a god. Later on I was sleeping in the back of my van at my fathers house in the driveway and in the morning a vision of Son of God appeared unto me, as though I had been removed from my body and was staring outside the doors of the open van. i had two other visions of similar power and glory. And i definitely saw the lord jesus christ.
My visions are proof to me.
My testimony should be considered as proof to everyone who hears me speak or write it down

No, there isnt a God.
I'm always amused by religious folks implying people would be evil without religion and yet if you actually look at the bible its disgusting.
It prescribes the death penalty for insulting your parents! Allah or Yahweh may be the most revolting villain in all of fiction, I'm paraphrasing Dawkins there but its true.
