I have two boys and want to have one more child, with my last child i went into premature labor and had it stopped. The doctor told me that if i do have another child that it would be high risk. I was wondering if you or someone you know went through this and if so did everything turn out ok.

When I was pregnant for my first child, I went into preterm labor and had it stopped. I was 20 at that point. My second child I ended up having to be induced. I was 29 then. I didn't have any problems with the second pregnancy.

But saying that, your doctor knows your medical conditions and history. I would sit down and talk to them about what they feel is the risk of you carrying another child. Not everyone is the same, so you really can't go by other peoples stories.

Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.

I went into premature labor with my first child at 6 months and they overdosed me on magnesium by accident...but it stopped the labor. My 2nd child was perfectly fine...except his cord was around his neck but that has nothing to do with my first...just something that happens to quite a few babies....he turned out fine. My third child was absolutely fine...so no, it won't affect a following pregnancy unless it is due to a weak structure that would support the baby...like my sister had two placental abruptions and lost both babies....thats a completely different kind of thing then.
