Orbea is a bicycle manufacturer based in Mallabia in the Basque Country of Spain. Originally a rifle and gun maker, the company shifted its business after the Spanish Civil War. Orbea produce a range of racing bicycles and mountain bikes, including high-end carbon fibre designs. Orbea is part of the Mondragón Cooperative Corporation, and is Spain's largest bicycle manufacturer.
Orbea sponsor and supply bikes to a number of teams, including the Basque based Euskaltel-Euskadi professional road bicycle racing team.
As of 2006 Orbea imports three all carbon road bikes to the US. They are the Opal, Orca and Onix.

Orbea makes very highly regarded road bikes, as do MANY other companies.
Don't make the mistake of buying a road bike because of the brand. Try out many different bikes from different shops and pick the one that fits you best. A $600 dollar bike that is fitted correctly is a better bike than a $4,000 bike that is the wrong size.

Orbea is good, but so are many others...
If you are asking about a middle range bike based on price, then you have a lot to choose from. Check out Trek, Specialized, and Giant.

If you're looking for mid range Orbea isn't it. They have top end stuff. Look else where for a bike.

Yes, Orbea is a major brand of bikes.
I haven't seen their road or mtn bikes, but they're popular at the triathlon races and are very nice carbon bikes. The one's I've seen are higher end bikes.

Orbea is a very good company that makes mainly road bikes. You can get an Orca for $4000-6600. thats their top-of-the-line road bike. it looks sweet. they also make mountain bikes. the brand depends on what type of bike your looking for. these are all good brands:

orbea is prety famous and also really good not as famous as trek and stuff but just as good, youll get a better deal because of that
