Our date of birth, our nationality, our schooling, our money, our home our work,
our health are recorded in binary digits that will last forever. They are as invisible
and inextinguishable as god. In this century, war has aquired a cosmic barbarity,
economies have become bolemic, sex has become public wallpaper, and tyrrany has been
the best rehersed political system.

Giants stalk the globe. Corporations and show biz,

Where is our humanity?

Humanity? I'm not sure if you mean we no longer care about each other or if we no longer keep our lives private. I would say we no longer care about each other. Sex becoming public is really a non-issue. The binary digit stuff about our records benefits us as much as it harms us. Tyranny and corporations are evil. I agree, it stems from greed. Corporations are like the modern age religious institutions. Some people feel the need to control others and their power is lies and manipulation. You learn how to do it by observing history. It has always been done. First by monarchs, emperors, etc. and then by religious institutions. Sometimes both at the same time.

All of the things you've described are of man, therefore they ARE humanity.

Humanity consists also of charity, hope, prudence, piety, courage, and other virtues.

It is incumbent upon the believer to concentrate on the virtues and not become beholden to the blights of humanity.

Theoretically, a lone person CAN change the world for the better (or for the worse,) but in everyday practice, the individual can only work to maintain or repair his limited place in humanity.

In other words, you have the God-given gift to choose to NOT participate in un-Godly behavior. A true believer must be prepared to be ostracized by his fellow man, and perhaps even give his life for what is right.

Most believers are generally luke-warm in their actions because they're more afraid of another man's opinion of them than they are of God's opinion.

People are 'too busy' to care about other people, especially in differant countries.
People are so greedy in this age they want the best and newest of everything.
I agree with you that people in general are losing touch with the sympathy and empathy/ care and concern toward other human beings.
But there is hope yet- because for as many bad people that I meet- there is always that handful of decent and wonderful folks.

All I can say is, for all the crud I see, I try to make the best of my little world, and those around me. We concentrate on the good things in life, take care or our neighbor, and cherish what little time we have 'cause it could all end tomorrow. It's the little things that get me through even with all the negative around.

That is humanity. Humans aren't all about sharing and loving. We fight, exploit and oppress each other on a daily basis. And that's what separates us from the animals.
