repair manual for a 1972 VW?

look for a Bently manual, it's authorized by VW and is the most complete repair manual out there...trust me, it has torque specs, special tool numbers, wiring diagrams. i have one for my 1987 Vanagon and i would be lost without it.

it costs more, but it's worth it.

Go to eBay.. I just did a quick scan for you and there were a couple of dozen. One must be right for you. They are priced between $3 and $20. Most in the under $5 range

Try keywords : "volkswagen chilton" that should get you a bunch

I will assume, you want a "workshop manual"???
you would have to go to a book store, or, auto accessory outlet.
