As someone already said: IF you have good intentions ... yes she is young and all, but IF you have no intention of hurting her in any way whatsoever, if you will love her, take care of her, protect her, and be there for her ... then go for it. If everything I just said does not apply to your intentions, then BACK OFF. You're the older one. You should be taking care of her, protecting her, loving her, caring for her, etc. Also, her parents, your parents, her friends, and your friends would have to be ok with it. If it is truly love that you seek, then it will be worth the trouble. If not, just let this girl go.

Wait a minute...is everybody in here saying a 17 year old cannot date a 13 year old? I believe he can.
Of course.....it's something else when the 17 year old doesn't know where his limits are.
I suggest you go watch a movie or something and wait for that kiss at least one year or so. That's if you have good intentions...

It is illegal for you to have a sexual based relationship ( by this i mean sexual intercourse ) with a child who is 13.
Depending on your legal age for sexual intercourse if sexual intercourse did happen her parents could have you charged for rape or molestation.
Legally it is close to being wrong and depending on what your families think it may also be morally wrong.
At 17 it is expected that you are going through puberty. A 13 year old is merely a teenager and may not even be experiencing puberty yet. Young teenagers are naive and you being in a position of power being an older male she can feel pressure and manipulation.
I'm sure you could find someone who is your own age.

Technically yes you are both under 18. Morally, no. The 17 year old is going to be far more mature and can manipulate the 13 yr old into doing things they shouldn't.

it seems wrong but whats age these days like. the 17 yr old should may be look for some one closer to his/her age and then this question wouldnt be asking. and the 13 yr old is to young for more then just kissing

It's okay to be friends......but anything else is child molestation. Why are you interested in a 13 year old? Find a HS girl instead.

NO, illegal, especially if parents get involved, or 13 yo girl gets pissed at you and lies....then your butt is in jail, and your 400 pound room mate, Bubba, gets that butt as a plaything, dude.
